March is traditionally seen as the month where the long, cold, dark days of Winter come to an end and the freshness of Spring arrives.

Spring is the season where the days begin to get longer, flowers which had been planted begin to bloom and the weather is warmer which means more outdoor times.

Spring is the season where we see plants grow, and flowers begin to appear. Many bulbs bloom in the Spring. Spring is often associated with new beginnings and fresh starts in life. It’s a time of renewal.

Spring is when trees, which had been dormant during the Winter and had shed their leaves, begin to showcase their new growth.

We have this one, old big tree in our front yard and one day as I was looking at it, I became very concerned it was dying. My wife said our tree needed to be cut back, which meant some of the few branches our tree had needed to be trimmed off professionally so it could be healthy again.

I thought my wife had lost it when she suggested we get our tree professionally trimmed. I thought our tree would never survive if what little branches it had were cut off. I hesitantly agreed to do that but, in my heart, I thought our tree had finally reached its limits in growth.

I was not home when the professional tree trimer came and did the trimming so when I came home, all I saw was our old tree with what I felt were a few branches left on it.

When we gave our life to the Lord, we made Him the Lord of our life which meant we also gave the Lord permission to prune our lives as He saw fit. Often that process can seem painful to us but necessary for our life to bear new fruit.

Are you seeing new buds of growth in your life? If not, then maybe it’s because you haven’t surrendered every part of your life to the Lord. It might be time for some pruning to take place!!

Let the Gardener do His pruning in your life. At first it might be uncomfortable but the new growth that
