Greetings to all!

At our service last Sunday I announced we would be continuing tto meet on Sunday’s and at that time that is exactly what I sensed the Lord was speaking to my heart. I am very aware some may have thought differently but as Pastor I was leading in the best way I could.

I’ve recently been in contact with some local Pastors I have relationship with, seeking what they were doing. I have also prayed about all of this but yesterday when our President said he recommended for the next two weeks no gatherings of 10 people or more, the Holy Spirit began to speak to my heart.

There are a lot of experts speaking right now giving their opinions about this virus and I have no problem with that, but with this new request from our President, I felt it would not be a good witness to our city if we as a church continued to meet, basically going against what the President and the rest of the people on his team are asking everyone to do.

That being said, we will not be meeting for Sunday services for the next two weeks. Conditions permitting, I am hoping to come together again as a congregation on a Sunday on April 5, 2020 which will be Palm Sunday.

I am asking we do all we can in the natural to stay healthy. I am also asking we do all we can, spiritually speaking, to combat this virus and the people it is affecting. I am asking that you pray and keep watch, whether it be by phone or through email, with those in our church body who are alone or those the Holy Spirit lays on your heart to call.

The effects of this virus can be deadly, yet we are hearing that many are recovering from it. The effects of loneliness and separation is also very serious and we can’t take that lightly.

Let’s believe the Lord for a miracle right now but let’s also learn whatever it may be that the Lord is looking to say in all of this, to us as a church and to us individually. I look forward to seeing you all again on Palm Sunday to worship our Lord and to hug one another again!!
