Let me begin my first blog for 2025 by wishing everyone a very blessed and wonderful 2025!
Sadly, New Years Day in 2025 began with a horrible and senseless tragedy in New Orleans where many people tragically lost their lives because someone lost their mind
On that same day another person who also lost their mind, killed themselves and injured many others here in Las Vegas at the entrance to the Trump Hotel
I say lost their mind because for whatever reason or influence, these people decided to harm innocent people just because of a bad influence in their lives.
We live in a much different world today than many of us grew up in. Yes, we had many senseless tragedies back in the day, but for the most part it seemed people in general were for one another, in spite of our differences
The many evil influences our children have to deal with today and even us as adults, are far too numerous to name and very convincing for those of week minds
I find articles where someone writes that the church, in our nation today, has not only dwindled in numbers but more importantly, in their love/passion for the Lord and His values.
Believers, church leaders and pastors can get very discouraged and lose hope when they see this taking place.
There’s a song released back in 1981 by a group called Journey which is titled by what I feel needs to take place. The song is titled ‘Don’t Spot Believing”
The song was written by a member in the group, Jonathan Cain, at a time when he was a struggling musician living in LA, in much despair and ready to give up.
Cain’s father would constantly remind his son Cain not to give up or stop believing on his dream to make it big.
I am fearful too many Christians today are close to or have already given up on the church and more importantly, believing on the Lord.
I would be wrong to say 2025 won’t have moments of deep despair which will even challenge our hope in the Lord. When I read about what Christians had to endure back in the days of the early church, I wonder if I could have stayed true to the Lord if that were me.
People lose their minds when they allow the ways and thinking of the world to infiltrate their hearts and minds. This is also true for us as believers.
As we enter the new year of 2025 as believers, we can’t stop believing what the Word of the Lord says is true no matter what others may say. We must hang in there and encourage one another to do the same.
2025 will be a great year if we determine to keep our eyes on the Lord and not on man or the world and keep on believing!!!
