Greetings, brothers and sisters in Christ and children of God,
Some say a movement is on the rise. I say the movement has always been there, but many have been too blind to see it. God has never stopped moving. He is always on the move to bring His human creations to know Him and to have a relationship with Him. He desires to have a relationship with all who choose to have a relationship with Him and who love Him, and who will accept His authority and obey Him.
In the Garden of Eden, Satan tried to manipulate and destroy the relationship between man and God. Satan is jealous that he cannot rule from the seat of God and desires to destroy mankind and the relationship that God desires to have with man. In the Garden, he deceived Eve, and Adam was a man of weakness himself and therefore was led to commit the sin of disobedience. However, God knew that for man to understand right, he must understand wrong; to understand grace and mercy, he must understand the reason for grace and mercy, so He allowed man to make that choice through free will.
That being said, God also knew that with the fall of man through his sin of disobedience, He would need a way for man to be redeemed and made right so that man could again have a Holy relationship with Him. God sent His own Son to become flesh and live on earth with the people whom God loved. The Son of God taught those who chose to listen and rebuked those who were against God. Those whom Jesus taught suffered the agony of watching Him die, but came to learn that His life here, in the flesh, was more about the resurrection of the Spirit, which would be the sacrifice of Christ for others to enter an eternal life with the Father.
This would lead the followers of Christ to spread the message of Him and the ways of righteousness that would restore the relationship between God and man. Many of them suffered great persecution for their beliefs. Those left behind knew that their purpose was to pick up the torch of Christ and carry it on so others would see the eternal flame that burned for eternal life. It is the Word of God that is the flame, which we all carry within us, and we must continue to carry it and share it with the world. It is a flame fueled by the breath of God.
Our focus should not be on the messengers who have gone before us, but on the message in which they preached. We are to bring forth the same message, which is, God wants to have a relationship with everyone, and to have that relationship, one must acknowledge that Jesus is Christ who died for them, and understand it is by His grace we are saved.
Last week, the little lambs learned how David was anointed and that he faced a giant named Goliath. We all have “goliaths” in our lives, but if we have faith like David and believe in Christ, we will be victorious over them. This week, the children will learn about a man named Phillip and how he taught others about Jesus.
I look forward to worshiping the Lord with you through songs of praise and dancing before Him who breathes the life of the Word upon us. If, for whatever reason, I do not see you tomorrow, may the Lord bless you with joy, peace, and lots of laughter in life, and may He guide you, comfort you, and heal you when you need it.
God bless you,
Your brother in Christ
Michael (aka Mr. Michael)
