The Same Yesterday and Today!

This may be only me who thinks this way, but I always wondered why Easter falls on a different day each year. When I did some research to find out why this was true, I discovered there were many opinions as to why this took place each year.

I finally came up with the conclusion that no matter what Sunday the world says will be Easter Sunday, what took place that day will never change or be open to man’s debates or thoughts. We live in a world that changes from moment to moment. What was true and alright for yesterday, is now not true or politically correct.

When I was going to high school, the thought a biological boy could walk into a girl’s’ bathroom or play on a woman’s sport team just because they felt or thought like a woman was totally unheard of. The consequences for trying that was very painful and difficult.

No matter what date the world decides to place Easter Sunday on, what took place that day can never be changed by man or by his laws, though many have tried. Malachi 3:6 NKJV “For I am the Lord, I do not change; therefore, you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob” (emphasis added)

Growing up in a religious home, I was told to attend Mass every Sunday. Though I learned there was a God, I felt He was a God who was hard to please.

When I asked Jesus to be the Lord and Savior of my life, I learned because of the Lord’s great love for me, I was not consumed; for His mercies were new every morning. What a breath of fresh air that was to my life and that promise is still real and true today!

It doesn’t matter what Sunday the world says Easter Sunday is to be celebrated on. The truth is that Jesus Christ rose from the grave and conquered death so that those who believe in Him and follow Him can have eternal life!!

Things change in this world, some for the better and many for the worse. What we can stand on today as believers is that Jesus Christ is seated at the right hand of the Father and is waiting for His children to come and be with Him!! We can rest on what Hebrews 13:8 says, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever!” (emphasis added)
