Lessons in Faith: Embracing God’s Guidelines A Message from New Day Christian Church

Greetings, brothers and sisters in Christ and children of God,

The owner of a company was reviewing his books one day and was puzzled to see a decline in business. He could not understand why his business was failing. He trained all of his personnel and provided them with all the guidelines to run a successful, profitable business for everyone. So, the owner decided to go downstairs and walk the floor to see what could possibly be the issue. As he walked the floor, he found that the personnel had made some changes and were not working the way they were trained. They were doing things their own way. The business had been so successful, and they believed it was because of themselves, so they chose to do things differently to “better” the business. Unfortunately, their “better” was not working, but they could not see that. When the owner tried to step in and correct their ways, he was met with harsh pushback, and they scolded him back upstairs. The owner chose not to fight them, for he knew that he was the one who created the business, and when this one completely fails, he would find those who would once again listen, and he would begin a new business.

The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time. The Lord regretted that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled (Gen 6:5-7). The Lord concluded to wipe all humanity from the earth. However, there was one man and his family who chose to listen to God, and so God protected them and used them to begin a new era of humanity.

I cannot speak much for the rest of the world, but for our nation, I can say that we have kicked God back up to heaven because we believe we know more than he, and we can create humans, we can choose who lives or dies, and we can do and act as we please and not follow the guidelines He has given us. We have come to love ourselves or love those who side with us and beat those who don’t. I do not believe that other nations are much different than our own. What I do believe is that God sees the evil, and a time is coming when He will create a new “business” (Rev 21:1), with those who have a desire and obedience to follow Him.

We are called to love one another, despite their flaws. We are called to be in the world and not of the world (John 17:15-16) so that we can be a part of God’s restoration business. I encourage you to stand strong and endure in love that which is against you, for we are to love our enemy (Matt 5:44). That is the gospel of Love.

Last week, we celebrated the First Fruits as we remembered the resurrection of Christ Jesus. This week, the little lambs will be learning about the fruit of the Spirit and how the fruit can better us as children of God.

I look forward to seeing all of you tomorrow. If, for whatever reason, I do not see you, may the Lord bless you with love, joy, peace, and may He comfort you, guide you, and heal you when you need it.

God bless you,

Your brother in Christ,

Michael (aka Mr. Michael)
