A New Thing

Greetings to all and let me begin by wishing everyone a very prosperous and blessed New Year. I also want to apologized for getting my monthly blog out so late. These last few months have been for a better word, crazy!!! Our church has moved to a new facility and trying to get a Certificate of Occupancy so we can begin moving forward in our new facility has been very difficult to say the least. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think we would be in the first month of 2015 with no Certificate of Occupancy in our hands.  It has been one or another that has stopped us from attaining that very important document but I truly believe we are just days away from getting it.

That being said, this process of getting our Certificate of Occupancy has really messed up my daily plans. I feel like so much of my time has been wasted with meeting with inspectors and having inspections. Now here we are at the beginning of a new year and it seems that I am still dealing with stuff that should have been resolved in my opinion, last year by now.

Have you ever had times when you felt that way with your personal life? You wanted to move on with your life but for some reason you still had things from the past that continued to nag at you and hold you back. The Lord says in Isaiah 43:18-19Forget the former things; do not dwell in the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.” The Lord also says in Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.”

My dear friend, the Lord has plans to do a new work in you and me; a new thing,  in 2015 but hanging on what has happened in our past will surely delay that from coming about. The Lord asks in Isaiah if we perceive it or in other words if we even make it out that He is currently making a way in the desert places of our life; He is bringing streams of fresh new rivers in what once were the wastelands of our life.

2015 my dear brother and sister is going to be a very good year for the Lord is still on the throne and He still reigns!! The only way you and I will be able to see all the great new things that will be taking place in 201, is we must determine to keep our eyes set on Him. Psalm 121:1-2 “I lift my eyes to the hills, where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.”

I will keep my blog short and sweet this month. The Lord desires to do a new thing in you my brother, my sister. To see that take place, take your eyes off your past and set them on the One’ holds the future!!!!
